All about hard floor cleanings
Among the new types of hard floors on the market, for example, polymer coverings with a wood look are currently very popular. These floor coverings pose new challenges for the entire professional hard floor cleaning services in Philadelphia industry. Their high structure promotes the build-up of dirt.
This effect is increased if the direction of the grain is not in the usual wiping direction. Especially with the single-stage wiping process, the time and the cleaning solution are not enough to get these coverings really clean. The dirt that builds up gradually leads to a streaky appearance after routine cleaning.
The only remedy here is the use of detergents with enormous dirt-dissolving power, which is supported by additional mechanics from microfibres and machines. A two-stage wiping process often has to be used. This represents a significant challenge for building cleaning.
The equipment, the cleaning chemistry and the processes have to be specially adapted to this because the resources used in the rest of the property are insufficient. Often more time units are required for these hard floors than was planned in the specification. Additional planning and organization is required.
In order not to leave the hard floor completely unsealed, new methods of soil remediation are used. If the annual basic cleaning is not possible, modern dry basic cleaners or high-performance solvent-based basic cleaners can be used.
They do not have to be rinsed afterwards, as only the upper layer of the polymer film, in which most of the dirt is located, is removed and a new polymer layer can be applied.
These methods are comparable to the “Smart Repair” techniques used in car painting. Small paint damage is also optically repaired by briefly polishing the paint surface and then removing paint.
A smooth surface makes it harder for new dirt to penetrate, the combination of a diamond grinding pad system, a solvent-based basic cleaner and modern wiping care is an efficient method of cleaning and compacting a rubber floor. The resulting smooth surface makes it harder for new dirt to penetrate the porous structure.
This method is mainly used to renovate outdated and worn hard floors such as natural stone, terrazzo, concrete, rubber or linoleum and at the same time to let them shine again.
